From My Studio - Sept 2021

We have done a bit of traveling in the last few months, doing our best to soak up the last of summer. Some trips have been close by and some farther, like the most recent to Newport, Rhode Island. We drove the 750+ miles, so it was a true road trip! Here are some more Newport photos… The shoreline is rocky and rough with many beautiful shades of blue and grey.

An earlier trip took us to the mountains of North Carolina. Asheville is one of our favorite places to visit. The photos to the left were taken on a hike to Catawba Falls.

And below is a montage of photos taken near our home-away-from-home near the River Arts District in Asheville.

Why do I share this? Because I draw inspiration from these trips for my artwork. As I travel, I think about new color combinations, textures, and themes. My brain is often abuzz with the possibilities! Now, back in the studio, I have a new group of work started. It’s really early so I don’t know where it’s going, but here’s a sneak peek. Thanks for reading!
