Hello Friends,

I’ve settled into the studio…

where it is cool and comfortable despite the heat of our Sarasota summers!

Recent exhibitions at Art Center of Sarasota have shown my work. As one - Medium Mutiny - ended, the latest exhibit, Icons, opened last week and continues through September 26. Go see it if you are in Sarasota.

Delighted to say that Hugs & Kisses sold from the new exhibit. I have two others in the same style - Love and Peace. All three are shown below and you can email for more information on any of them.

New Artwork

Last month, I included these as works in process in my newsletter, thinking the canvases would eventually become a woven painting. HERE is a link to that issue if you want to see.

Something happened in the interim, though: I fell in love with them just as they were, as I created them. Now, they have become their own unique artworks—and the beginning of a new series.

Maybe it’s the chaos of the world we live in, but there is something especially appealing to me right now about the layers in these two paintings, made serene by their calm surfaces and muted colors.
