Two October Exhibitions

Two exhibits opening this month!

The first opening is Thursday, October 9th from 5-7 pm at Art Center Sarasota, which is celebrating 100 years!

Legacy x Response: SARTQ Responds to a Century of ACS opens Thursday, October 9, 5-7 p.m. Members of SARTQ Artist Collective have crafted contemporary responses to the legacy artists of the Sarasota Art Association and ACS. Please come and see the inspiring work each member has made in tribute to an artist who helped shape the foundation of the Art Center of Sarasota. I am delighted to be part of SARTQ and can’t wait to see this exhibit! There is an artist talk on November 1st and the exhibit is on view until November 15.

Another exhibit opens at Drew Marc Gallery, Tampa on Friday, October 17 with a reception from 6-9 pm. Five contemporary women artists - Vig Mayol, Susan von Gries, Julie Schumer, Kathleen Hope, and I will be featured in the exhibit Interwoven Surfaces at Drew Marc Gallery in Tampa. Events include an opening reception on Friday evening, October 17 from 6-9 pm, and an artist talk on Saturday afternoon, October 18. I plan to do a woven painting demonstration on the 18th.
