A quick note...Last chance to see the Wilmington Art Association's Spring Show & Sale! Here are the details.
Warm Sunny Spring Days are Finally Here! My garden has blooming irises of all description as well as sugar snap peas, asparagus and lettuce to harvest. I've planted tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers... okra this weekend. A quick note... Last chance to see the Wilmington Art Association's Spring Show & Sale. It's open today, Saturday & Sunday and then, it's over! This is a beautiful show with over 250 paintings & 3D works available for sale, not to mention the affordable, unframed bin work from most of the artists.
And what am I doing this Spring?? Painting big canvases for a June exhibit at Leland Cultural Arts Center. It's Large Scale Abstracts which are inspired by smaller work I've created over the last couple years. I'll share more details in May. Enjoy this beautiful weather! All the best, Adrienne Watts P.S. Here's the progression of one of the paintings for the upcoming Large Scale Abstracts exhibit. Here's the beginning... Free-form marks and writing... The whisper of a composition.
